Here is the deal. I have been shooting a few rounds every other day or so. Lately my accuracy has gone to crap, causing me to self diagnose what I was doing wrong. I started with my anchor positions because when I started trad I had a habit of short drawing/snap shooting. Anchor was fine.
Then I moved up to five yards. I missed the whole target!
Now, I just about started panicking at this point.
I am ashamed to say I even thought about getting out the wheelie...
Then on one last shot, I noticed that my arrow was sticking out way past the shelf at full draw.
I instantly eased down, and looked at my body position....my shoulders were perpendicular to the target. A wave a nausea, followed by relief(I knew I could fix it) passed over me.
Somewhere along the line, my form(body wise) went out the window. I immediately adjusted myself, drew, and wouldnt ya know it? Nailed that imaginary black dot in the bull. Whew.
From now on, practice will be for accuracy with extreme detail to my stance AND form.
This type of stuff happen to anyone else?
From now on I am beginning every shot by aiming my shoulder at the target...
If you guys have any suggestions or advice, hook me up.
