Advice for daughter
« on: October 15, 2007, 07:40:00 AM »
My daughter is 27 and mentioned to me yesterday that she's considering giving archery a try.  She's not interested in hunting, only in shooting - leagues and such.

Any suggestions on where she can go in NE Ohio to get started in target archery?  Suggestions on a good target archery bow for her?  All my bows are hunting bows and too heavy.  I'm guessing she wants something in the 35-40 lb range, but I'm open to suggestions on that, too.

Thanks in advance for any help / suggestions.

Go real light and let her learn her form the proper way from day one. 25/30 depending on how strong she is, you want it to be fun and for her to be able to shoot as long as she wants not jut as long as she can. The Quinn Comet and Comet XL are very affordable, very good shooting bows that you can get heavier limbs for as she needs/wants them for a more than reasonable price. Also a lot of deer have been killed with them in case she changes her mind.    ;)
