It always seemed to me that the best exercise was shooting itself.  Nothing else will work the specific muscles used in archery as well.

Kinda what John said.  Draw your bow slowly (3-4 count) as if actually making a shot.  Come to anchor, get back tension, concentrate and hold for 3-4, then slowly let the bow relax for 3-4 count.  Try for 3 sets of 5 or more reps.  Repeat as many times as possible from the opposite side to balance your strength growth left to right.  This balance is important to your skeletal structure.  Grip exercises and forward and reverse wrist curls help a lot with release and bow arm control, too.

If you go at this kind of thing kinda hard, be sure to give your muscles a day or two of rest between sessions.

Those spring or rubber band exercise thingys can be a big help, too.

I keep a couple bows strung and hanging around the house.. Several times a week I will stand in front of a mirror and come to draw and visually check form. Not as good as shooting for sure but handy and affective.

If you mean mental control of the shot, you need to look into Jay Kidwells book and his posts on this forum.  He has some really good input on the mental aspects of shooting.

Bob Westleys video has a section on exercise, using rubber band stretchs, gripper exercise, and a rod with weight windup exercise.

I actually got this advice from a shotgun coach
(similar in that it's "pointing" vs "aiming")

He recommended doing day-to-day tasks (shaving, toothbrush, hair comb) with my left (pointing) hand to improve hand-eye coordination...if nothing else, I'm not so dependent on my right...
