Fighting nock points tuning your bow
« on: January 05, 2008, 10:40:00 AM »
I'm sure some of you have used this, but if not!

When tuning my bows seems I'm always fighting my nock points. Adjusting them to find that sweet spot. Whether they are tied on or brass nocks. I spend more time goofing around with nock pliers, and tying to adjust tie on ones, than its worth. But it must be done for good arrow flight. So in by quest for an easier way I thought

Why not a twisty tie for a TEMPORARY nock point, then install a permanent one in the correct place! And dang if it doesn’t work temporary, and so easy to adjust!!!

The plastic coated twisty ties don't work well, use the paper coated twisty ties!

If you get a chance to watch Byron Ferguson's DVD: "Become the Arrow", he has a way to tie on a nocking point that you can adjust up or down. After you find your nocking point you just use a drop of super glue to set it.

I have never like the super glue idea..with all respect to your comment dagwood64. If I have to change the nock point I am in a fix. That stuff is hard to get rid of.
