Arrow Flight problems???
« on: February 09, 2008, 12:34:00 PM »
O.K. Guys this is what I have. 66" Hill 57 @ 28" ,my draw is 27.5 split finger, 28 3/8" 2018, I tried first with 232 grains up front it showed nock right, then I tried 290 up front it got better but it still flies like it is too stiff. Is it still too stiff?

Seems like a lot of weight up front to still be too stiff, doesn't it?  I've heard that if your nocks are too tight, that can cause a nock right.  Have you considered trying a 2016 arrow or maybe cutting your 2018's to 29"?

Thanks McDave, I have filed the nocks, so it's not them. I have tried a 2016 28" with a flitemate adapter and 190 gr. heads, same bad flight. I checked the tiller on the bow it's not an even tiller. I gonna keep tinkering with it! Mike

I shoot 55# and 57# at 27"...my arrows are cut 28.5 and 2117's fly great. I have them swagged and shoot both 125 and 160 grain heads.
