Well Allen, I could be way off, but to me it seems that it could be the way you anchor very high on your face. Just picturing it, I would think that when you lean way over as you are saying, it puts the arrow in a similar alignment as if you were anchoring at your mouth. When you move your anchor up high on your face, I think it would move the nock end of the arrow further over to the left vs. anchoring lower, thus aiming the point of the arrow to the right, and causing right impact.
Hopefully that explanation of my possibly insane reasoning is slightly clearer than mud.
