Just some thoughts Travis. Shoot your bow with less cant or shoot it with no cant at all. Pick up the string with most of the load start on the middle finger. Maybe your rotating your drawing hand opposite your cant or  not keeping the back of your draw hand in the same cant plane. Don't shoot off finger tips and try a deeper hook. Keep your elbow down.

When I get that callus in that spot, it means my right elbow is too high and I am twisting the string on my release.  I am also not using my middle finger.  When I concentrate on using all three, my elbow comes down and my torquing stops.

Travis,

Check out this thread, it worked for me. My index finger was getting so sore on the inside that I couldn't shoot every day. This solved that problem.

Nah, you don't need any of that. First, use the deep hook hold, in or beyond the first joint of the second finger. Let the index finger float forward as if reaching for a trigger do get it out of the pinch. Take nearly all of the weight of the string on the second finger.

If you bring up Olympic archer on youTube you will see that most of them appear to be doing it this way. It doesn't hurt a bit. - lbg
