Hey, where's my tab?

Just curious if others experience this.....

Occasionally I'll be shooting and will release an arrow and my tab comes off my middle finger (shooting a cordovan tab w/elastic band).  I know that I am the variable, because it doesn't happen all the time.  Suggestions, other than slowing down and taking more time?

I shoot Black Widow tabs, no black widow bow though, and I have never had them come off.  They aren't even elastic they're velcro.
