Hello all,
I recently came into the possession of a Martin Rebel Recurve bow. I already have a couple of trad recurves that I use instinctively. However, I plan to hunt turkeys with the Rebel, and I do not quite feel I have the skill to take a small game animal instinctively, yet. I want to put a stick-on, flipper-style rest on the bow, but I would like one that keeps the arrow away from the side of the bow. Do any manufacturers make such a rest? I noticed that most flipper rests keep the arrow snug to the wall of the window. I thought about drilling a hole in the riser to put a bushing for a plunger-rest, but I have heard that will cause stress cracks in the riser. Any help with this would be great.
