Corner of mouth isn't natural anymore
« on: June 04, 2009, 12:21:00 PM »
I have noticed lately that my middle finger (I shoot split) has crept down slightly below my mouth corner, and actually kind of rests against the teeth of my lower jaw. This has happened in conjuction with stsrting to lock my thumb in behind my lower jaw. I really like the feel of this anchor, and I like the fact that it's a two point anchor.

The question is, does this indicate a form problem? I know moving the arrow further away from the eye isn't good. I've seen some mention on this forum about this being a good anchor, and to let go of the mouth corner obsession. What about the arrow moving further below my eye?

I havent allowed myself to do this enough to see what would happen. I keep trying to dig the corner of my mouth. But this is really feeling more solid.

Well that's were Howard Hill anchored.  Seemed to work for him.

I wouldn't call it a problem. If you are anchoring consistantly in the same place, and you achieving accuracy, then its working for you!

Your brain should be able to compensate for the elevation changes pretty quickly.
