for those that use a sight pin...where do you anchor...

Just curious... i have made ALOT of changes over the last year and one of them is anchor position..

Is there a anchor point that can consistently give you a longer draw or is it all anatomically relative.

I fill more stable the lower my anchor point it

when I use to shoot with a sight I would use the finger in the corner of my mouth and 3 fingers under draw.

When I started shooting NFAA with a 70 inch browning recurve bow at 40 lb and 1916 alum arrows I went to the true target archer of using a spilt finger  draw and under the chin ancor with my nose on the string to ensure head position.

This position seemd to me to be the best for use with a target sight for both hunting or target.
you should see how I use to shoot

I'm with Bill. When I shot FITA target my anchor was the top of my index finger, tight upto the lower line of my jawbone. I found a 'platform' type tab really, really helped to get a good solid reference tomy jaw. I also had  kisser on the string as a second reference.

Just be aware, anchoring under your jawbone can reduce, rather than extend, your drawlength. Mine's stretched by a 1/2"

so lower anchor point may be better for using a sight? I will give that a try and see how it goes

I use my pointer in the corner of my mouth, 3 under.
