white wolf bows

Hi. I'm in the UK and last December I bought a White Wolf Longhunter S4. Had an issue with the string grooves being left too sharp at the edges which caused bad string cutting. Sorted that out myself with a magnifying glass and some 2500 grit paper. The bow is marked 43#@28, but when I took careful measurements, it actually is 39#28. Ihave a shorter draw than 28 and actually draw 35#. I shot 420 gn arrows through a chrono, and speeds reched 149 fps. Very good for a 35# bow! This bow is not shock free, and despite tuning the brace height, it will still give a little knock in the hand. It's nothing like as dead in the hand as say, an ACS or a Black Swan. However, those bows are vast money, and you would expect no shock!
Do I love this bow? ABSOLUTELY!! It shoots very well, and gets loads of attention from other archers, because it looks so unusual.
In the States, you all call this a longbow. Over here, we call it an American Flatbow, or AFB. Reason is, because an English Longbow( real longbow), has a D section and you shoot off the hand. It does not have a shelf or rest and is only ever made of wood only.
Anyway, would love to hear more feedback here on white wolf bows.

I own a 62" Longhunter Longbow that pulls 57# at my draw leangth.  I also own a 66" Beowolf TD Target Recurve that pulls 44# for my draw. Both are in the Autum Camo pattern. They are both incredibly fast, although I slow them down with heavier arrows for accuracy, penetration and stabality. The longhunter has minimal shock for a hickory limbed longbow, how ever the coreflex Beowolf has NO hand shock what so ever. Each of these bows draw a whole lot of attention at each shoot that i've taken it to. Tony makes an amazing bow.

I hate to be the new guy that pops up and advocates his equipment right off the bat and I know that this is an old thread.....but....  I ordered a 50#/28 Legend series Longhunter longbow from White Wolf and this bow is awesome so far.  It has very little handshock, is virtually silent, and it looks great to boot.  I ordered this bow to try out a quality R/D longbow and I have been greatly impressed.  I already prefer shooting this bow to my '62 Bear Kodiak, and I still do love the Kodiak.  I just felt it appropriate to give recognition to a great product.  Thanks.
