I am shooting a Kodiak Magnum, which is a pretty short bow (52")so I have my share of sore finger problems. Earlier posts have mentioned many finger pinch remedies. This is one more that I dreamed up recently; don't laugh too much; it seems to help me, maybe it will do someobody else some good.
I got the idea from an earlier suggestion of making an insert for the finger stall on your glove out of an aluminum can.
Before I found a pop or beer can I saw some fired shotgun shell hulls. Of course I had to stick my finger in one, and it was a pretty good fit. I have medium size hands, or maybe I should say 12 gauge fingers. Anyway, I just cut a tube off the end of a shell and trimmed it to fit my finger back past where the string hits, angling the cut till it felt right around the joint when I bent my finger. (Take the shell off your finger to cut on it!  :eek:  )Then I just put my glove on with this in place.
The shotgun shells are thick enough to spread out the pressure, but I can still feel the string... especially since my finger isn't numb any more.

Howard Hill used to use baleen (whalebone) inserts in his glove fingers.  later went to some hard plastic when whalebone became impossible to get.  

You might try some of that thicker plastic but looks like the shotgun shell thing is the right size and thickness.

Doesn't it feel weird, shooting with a glove? Never tried, but I can't imagine not being able to fully feel the string.

Well there are a lot of us who are pretty weird,that is for sure.
I guess everything is weird until you have tried it. I remember my first sip of coffee being pretty bitter, but now I drink it almost every day.
Another use for this shotshell liner thing has become apparent. I do woodworking and seem to keep a scab or two on my hands from nicks and cuts. Just got a nice gouge on my right index finger, sort of a digital dado. A big bandage is too fat to get the glove on, but it is too sore to go without something. With the shotshell liner, it is tolerable.
You never know, not like you can plan when and where to cut yourself. Might be a good trick to try just for those times if you have a hunt or something all planned.
