Rod Jenkins Shooting Clinic

May 8-9, 2010  Saturday 9-5, Sunday 9-2

Flint Bowmen in Grand Blanc MI

Rod was the 2004 IBO world Champion in the traditional class and one of the stars in Masters of the Barebow 3.  Rod will bring his no-nonsense approach to shot execution and control with the traditional longbow and recurve to FBM in May.  Topics to be covered in the 2 day clinic are;

1   Introduction of  7 steps to excellence program

2   Individual shot analysis and correction

3   Formaster training

4   Practice drills to reinforce the 7 steps

5   Strengthening the mental game

6   Aiming methods discussion

7   Question and answer session

The cost will be $250.00 per person for the two days including a lot of one on one instruction with Rod.  Lunch will be included.  If you have one please bring a lighter weight bow for the lessons.  There will also be some available.

Class size is limited to 12 people maximum so please PM me with you interest to reserve a spot.  I need at least 10 people to make it happen.  I’ll take verbal commitments now and by the end of March I’ll need a $100.00 deposit with the remainder due on Saturday May 8.

Everyone spends money on equipment, now spend some money on the most important thing in the shot…………you!

My son and I went to Rod's clinic in Hood River last summer. Well worth the time and cost.

Some good news.  If I fill one more spot this thing is a go.  I have two guys at the sectionals  that were interested but have yet to confirm they want to go.

Once I have the minimum people I'll shoot every one a PM on where to send the deposit.

Thanks,
Scott

Just a reminder to those attending that the class starts as 9:00AM both days.  If you have a choice of lighter bows bring the lighter one.  I'd bring arrows, arm guard and a tab or glove too.  :-)

Scott

I will be bringing an extra DAS set up at around 42# if someone needs a lighter bow to shoot or just wnats to try a DAS out.

It was nice meeting everyone and putting some more faces to names.  I hope everyone had as good a time as I did and got as much out of it as me.

Scott,

Thank you for hosting this.  You guys have a very nice place and Rod is a great teacher.  I learned a ton this weekend and wish I could have done this 25 years ago!
