Split or 3 Under - How to Tell?
«

I just acquired a Terry Hughes Arkansas Stick Charmer longbow and was comparing it to my CheckMate Crusader. What I noticed was the difference in lengths of the limbs compared when the arrow rests are lined up.
My question is this: How do you tell if a bow is tillered for split finger or 3 under? and does it really matter if I shoot it however I feel more comfortable? (I shoot split finger.)

Some will say it doesn't really matter. But measure the tiller of the limbs,if the are even usally means tillered for 3 under.Usally for split the tiller is set at 1/8 to 1/4 positive tiller.Measure from the end of the fadeout up to the string.
