The Accuracy Factor
« on: August 19, 2010, 04:53:00 PM »
Ok guys, been watching Rick's new video and picked up some new tips. I recently started shooting again and in the past been mostly a gap shooter(I'm trying to change all you instictive shooters   :knothead:   ) and I believe this video will help with that transition. For anyone who doesn't have it pick up a copy. Rick is a good teacher and this video is loaded with helpful tips. And no I'm not anyway part of Rick's bunch nor do I know him personaly just stating from what I've seen from the video and my view of it so don't flame me here. I also have all three Masters of the Barebow videos and Dead On Traditional video. These are also very good videos with a lot of helpful tips(I've watched them several times). But for anyone who doesn't have Rick's video they will be glad they got it(if you can get by all the Ok Guys). Heck I may even start hunting again now......   :bigsmyl:

P.S. I also have the Tradgang video on the way and looking forward to viewing it when I get it....

I agree on it being a real good shooting video of one guy's shooting style that has really worked for him and a bunch of others.  I also have the 3 MBB vids and the Tradgang vid (thanks Terry).  The takehome message for me after wearing them out is that every one of us will eventually find what works for them as long as it stays within the parameters of solid form.  Best bet is to get them all and realize that although each archer looks different, you're still seeing a steady bow-arm, drawing arm in line with the arrow, intense concentration and clean follow throughs.  The rest is just semantics.

I got the accuracy factory video last November, and it helped me more than I could ever have imagined.

Always looking for BobLee Long Bow or RCurve Limbs, 64" 40# to 50#.

I love the video changed to 3 under and will never look back. I really like the new consistent anchor and nose on the cock feather. My knuckle on the ear lobe is slighly forward and I use the string on my eye brow something different but works for me. Good Hunting great forum.

The DVD's are great and help you find shooting tips to improve BUT I'm a firm believer of finding your own style ond not copying somebody elses.

I imagine both MBB and AF (not seen Rickys) have the same basic form foundations and this is what archers should really focuse on.

As for Gap and instinct, once really mastered Gap its so close to Instinct it would be hard to tell apart the only real difference is how you got there.

I agree about the own style deal. I have been shooting since I was a kid but just took a few years off and now getting back into it. All these videos help with good tips and solid form foundation work. As for shooting I shoot more instictive up close now and gap shoot at the longer distances(also converting to three under). I just thought I would relay the message for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. Oh and OK Guys!!!!
