I shoot split fingers and it feels natural to me. I have tried 3 under and after a few arrows this method feels good as well. I shoot well 3 under but find I try to use the arrow to aim with this method which throws me off a little. I find I shoot lower with 3 under not sure why. Maybe I over adjust because the arrow is perceived as higher and I adjust down.

Being new to traditional shooting my opinion may carry no weight, however I started out shooting split and I thought that I was doing fairly well (3 months ago) I was able to keep my groups in a 8 inch circle at 20 yds. I then began to experiment with my grip and after reading a few threads here and talking with some of the trad gang members over the phone I decided to give three under a try.  It was awkward at first but after about a week I found that my groups ( at least most of the time began to tighten)  I also noticed that my bow seemed quieter (I assume due to a cleaner release) so I have been shooting that way for about a month. I had to adjust my nock point (up) but am still having satisfactory groups (for me) with this method....sorry for the long post!

I think whichever you feel comfortable with.  Just commit to it and don't waffle back and forth.
