3D fun video
« on: September 16, 2010, 10:56:00 PM »
I think one of the best learning tools is watching how others shoot. In that spirit here is a link to a video of me having a great time at my club shooting 3D. Go easy on me it is the first time I have been to the club and shot in 6 weeks, you sure get rusty fast!

I Was shooting a very low end wood riser bow with 36 lb limbs that I picked up used for $89.00 2 years ago when I started shooting. When I haven't shot for a while I use it because of the low draw weight. Otherwise I use a Martin x-200 that is 45lbs or a win and win riser and limbs that are 50lbs. Thanks for the encouraging remarks.

Hi Kevin,

My home club is Caledon. It is located near Terra Cotta Ontario just north and west of Brampton. I shot my first 3D Tournement in Port Colborne, last spring (2009) and my second in Port Colborne this past spring.

Where do you shoot?

Canshooter, I have shot at Port Colborne twice and once just recently at halton sportsman and Galt sportsman. I liked it and I'm going to try and go more often next yr.

Good shootin and video.

There are a couple of targets that are in the 40 yard range but most are 20-30 yards.I did bust an arrow that hit under the belly of a target and then hit a rock.

Yep its definitely a nice setup, 28 acres in the woods, 20 targets in the main field at 90 metres for Fita, 2 Fita field courses, 16 lanes of 18 metres indoors, full kitchen, meeting rooms, and the Bathroom has a shower, Large out door firepit and camping area. Ive never counted the 3D targets but there must be at least 30. I feel priveleged to have a facility like this 25 minutes from my home.

Nice shooting and very nice range .  Seeing your video makes me miss our old range even more .  Ahh! Progress . One day a nice archery range , the next a subdivision . gillchaser
