A sheath for you?
« on: November 18, 2007, 10:38:00 AM »
I have recently begun to make a few knife sheaths, mainly for a handful of my knives that needed something better than what they came with, and a couple for friends and family members.  Tons of fun!  SOOOO, I'm out of knives that need a sheath, and I still have enough leather for a couple more.  If you have a knife that need a sheath, either because it is a crappy store bought sheath, it's falling apart or it didn't come with one, I'd like to make you one!  I will make one sheath for two different fellas (or ladies!).  The one thing I will need from yo is to borrow your knife for about a week.  I could probably get by with just a tracing of the blade, but I would like to wet form the sheath as well.  I plan on doing a pictorial, but first I gotta have your name.  If you are interested I will draw names Monday night, so sign up.  Here is a couple examples of what it ends up looking like..

Very nice offer.  My hunting knife came with a nice sheath already (Rapid River Knife Works) so I am not interested ...

but want to know what is on the left side of the knife in the second pic?  Sharpening steel?

Hey Mike, Great gesture. Count me in please. I happen to have two knives I just recently finished up. I'll send you a couple of pics and if my name is drawn you can decide (if ya want) which knife to make a sheath for. Thanks!
I reckon so
