i shoot two under one over , no glove , and have found that some of my better shots are when i hook the string good. just to experiment , after my middle finger had a little bit of tingle in it the one day after shooting , i put the string just on the tips of my finger pads. the tingle went away , but turned into a kind of ache. im sure its cause of the rolling motion of the string. i have been working on hooking the string better lately , and kind of flicking my hand open.
only reason i switched was cause i thought maybe i was moving the sting when i released , but it looks like it wasnt an issue.
try getting ahold of someone with a slow-mo camera and seeing what your release looks like depending on which way you hook into it. i used a local golf range that has a pro shop with a 7000 frames per second camera. cost me 20$ to do two videos of my golf swing. i'd imagine to use a bow you should bring a hay bale and a blunt arra. and maybe an extra brewski for the range pro...just in case...
oh , the outcome of my swing analysis...its a good thing i like the woods...
