I shoot 3 under for the accuracy it gives me.  Getting that arrow closer to my eye is a real positive for me.
I order all of my new bows tillered for three under, but never hesitate to buy a bow that is tillered split.  With some tuning changes, I can't tell the difference.

I do and will never go back.

Two under shooter here. Was shooting split two for all my 46 years, but recently went to two under to bring the arrow closer to my eye. The ring finger is back with the thumb and pinky.

Shooting right handed I shoot three under now and it helped this lefty shoot right handed bows for fun. Gotta watch my left eye taking over the arrow though.

I used to shoot both once ina while when I had a close shot of 10 yards or so I shot 3 under and gun-barreled. Shawn
RE my post above and two under, my nock point on the old Bear recurve is nearly 3/4" high. It is noticeably high to other shooters and I have been asked about it.

I do and shoot awsome!! I can't shoot split because it pinches my finger too bad.

3 under here.  When I was a kid I shot bows a bit at the neighbors.  I just picked up the bow and shot 3 under.  No one ever instructed me on options.  As I recall the neighbor kids shot split.

Three under for me also.  When I was a kid cut my right index finger pretty bad resulting in a scar, gets sore if I shoot split.  I try for an even tiller on the bows I build for three under.  Every little bit helps, especially when you shoot like me.

Never go back to split finger, 3 under feels more natural.

I started in about 1970 or so when an "old guy" at the club I shot at said, "son, why don't you try Apache ?"  "What ?" I said and have been with it ever since.

As to bows.. (non ILF) yea my nock point is a bit higher.  I just actually got my first bow tillered for 3 under and the nock point changed 1/8" down...  Its a Widow.  I supose they make more noise if not tillered correctly but I can fix that.

Some of you have mentioned no sore index finger with 3 under. I didn't notice this little plus until it was brought up. That seals the deal with me.

i've just gone to 3 under, just rtying things out as a beginner. I noticed my bow was louder shooting 3 under. some of you have mention this noise can be reduced. Id like to stick with it. How can this be done?

I used to shoot split, switched to three under six years ago and will never go back! No problem tuning a bow to work for me either way.

I started shooting 3 under after watching Master of the Bare Bow. My shooting improved greatly. As for the tiller it doesn't seem to make much difference. There are so many other things that can wrong with a shot that I believe most people would never be able to tell a difference. Don't forget to add a second nock point below the nock. This keeps the arrow from sliding down the string.

I do. Split seems foreign to me now. Made a big difference in my shooting.
