First with the Recurve
« on: November 19, 2007, 11:49:00 AM »
I took my first deer in archery season this Sat. It's not the first deer I've ever shot but it sure is the most rewarding.

I shot this doe less than 15 yards from my stand and saw her fall just another 20 yards beyond.

I was shooting a Martin Hunter Recurve, 53# @ 29", CX 150 with 50gn brass insert and 125gn Steel Force broad head. Total arrow wt is 531gns.

I can honestly say Trad Gang has been an immense source of information for someone like me who is new to traditional archery. I'd aslo like to mention, I have been impressed with the Traditional community as whole. Not really sure how I want to say it and don't want to sound elitist but I consistently see a serious, dedicated, ethical, and conservation minded sportsman. Solid group of people on here.

Thanks Trad Gang for this great resource.
