Broken Nock / Bow Danage?
« on: April 23, 2011, 01:38:00 AM »
I had a nock break today when I released the string. The arrow pretty much dropped at my feet. Does anyone know how much damage this may cause to the bow? I have had them break before but the bow transfered more energy to the arrow.

Only way to tell is to minutely examine your glue joints and be wary of any clicking sound or tick when you pull the bow back. I've had it happen before and had both damage and no damage.

I have had them break and had no damage to my bows.

A modern bow can take a lot of abuse. As was said above check the bow over and then check it again. Shoot it a few times and see if you notice anything out of the ordinary.

Thanks for the info guys. I shot it about 20 times after the nock broke and didn't notice anything unusual.
