Looking for help in NC
« on: July 12, 2011, 04:10:00 PM »
I've been reading, watching, and practicing a lot over the past couple of months and have made some pretty decent strides towards becoming an archer (rather than an arra flinger).  I know that nothing can beat one-on-one expertise though, so I was wondering if there was anybody on here in the piedmont NC area that would be willing to spend a day or so shooting and coaching?

jonathan,  You've got Bob Wesley over just south of Chapel Hill.  You will have to pay for your class but there is a REALLY good instructor right in your back yard.  You can contact him buy email: [email protected]  or by phone :919 969 7811.

Are you willing to give up what you are; to become what you could be?

T Lail,  Thanks for the info since I have been wondering the same as jonathan creason.  I live in the Cherryville/Shelby area and am just getting started into the Trad way.  I will try and make it to the Carolina Traditional Archers shoot.

Thanks for the contacts guys.  T Lail, I really need to make time to get over to Maiden sometime.  I've been to the big shoot in Hickory the past 2 years, but I just haven't been able to make it to the monthly shoots.  One of my good buddies is a member, maybe I can hitch a ride with him to the next one if he isn't working.

Hey Jonathan where is Cleveland NC?  Don't see it on a map but I seem to recall a community called that somewhere near Salisbury.  I live in the upper NW corner of Cabarrus county. You're welcome to come shoot with me. We can shoot and hammer on a knife.

Yep, that's the one.  It's about halfway between Salisbury and Statesville if you take Hwy. 70 between the 2.  A day of shooting and hammering sounds great to me, both need some serious work.

Heck yeah man, my office is on Bristol Drive in Statesville, so I'm your way every day.  I'd be all for getting together and flinging some arrows sometime.

Thanks Tony. I might try to make it out west. The big shoot in Hickory was top notch.
