Anyone else hitting their bicep with the string?
« on: November 28, 2011, 03:13:00 PM »
I am shooting 50 pound selfwood bow, and out of blue few weeks ago I started hitting my bicep with the string. Anyone else have this problem or tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thank you.

Sounds as though you may be rolling your bow shoulder up and forward during the draw.  It really takes a bit of a contortion to hit your biceps.  Keep that bow shoulder down and back.

I have also seen this with excessive plucks and clearence issues with clothing. I had a student drop to his knees from a bicep slap.

No...if you are hitting your bicep ....you have serious alignment issues.

Video yourself and post it here....on a new thread.
