Matching bow length to draw length
« on: December 08, 2011, 02:17:00 PM »
I recently received a 58" black widow recurve that is 54# @ 29" draw, I am 6'1" and usually shoot a 29" draw and a 62" bow. Since shooting the widow i have noticed i am having alot of inconsistencies in my shooting. For example: shooting low at long distances, inconsistent grouping, the arrow just basically never goes where i am looking. Is this because of the shorter bow length? any input would be much appreciated.

Shorter bows show bad form well.  By the nature of being shorter they require better form to shoot well.   Finger pinch is also exaggerated on a short bow with a longer draw.  Try shooting with a two finger draw
