I am shooting a 60" 51# at my draw length. Harrellson 3 peice take down recurve.....the problem that I have is that I constantly shoot low.....my groups are tight( softball size at 18 yards) arrows touch at 10 to 12 yards, but I still shoot low...have moved nock point all over the place and worked with brace height too...my arrows are the same ones that I have shot for months.....ANY info/advise would help....

Right now I am braced at 7 3/4 " and nock point is 1/8 high........

aim higher =). Try playing playing with different arrow spines. Are you shooting split or 3 under?

How is your form are you lifting your head upon release,ask someone to watch you shoot.

I always shoot low and left if I don't get my eye over the arrow.

I am shooting split finger....I thought about head lift but two people have watched me shoot, and say form looks good....I am going through old arrows to see if I can find any issues....thanks......

I'm gonna guess you have been at this trad stuff for a while and are:

Just having a bad day...
Not following through and droppin' your bow...
Not reaching anchor, aka short drawing...

Don't beat yourself up over it. Take a day off from shooting.

try raising the rest on the shelf. put something thicker under it or maybe slide a toothpick or something under the leather or whatever you have on the shelf. maybe a piece of double sided tape on the shelf itself and stick a piece of velcro to that. just thinking as Im typing.

RELAX!!!!!! Top shooters in the IBO circuit who have form down pat experience ups and downs. Chill out, take a breather and try again. If you've been spot on before, you'll easily get there again.

My best advice is to look at Terry Green's form clock. I had been shooting for several years and was doing perty decent. Then I got to hearing about a double anchor. If anything has helped me it has been a consistant anchor.Up,down,left and right all got better when I figured out my anchor. Now that I have a handle on the mechanics of the shot, I can figure out what i need to do to correct my shot. I not saying everything is gonna be perfect but it will get better. You might try looking at this!

What's the temperature like there? It's real easy to drop a little draw length when it gets cold.

Dang Tony!! Are you really THAT worried about next week's club shoot?

Seriously, depending on where they were standing, it can be hard for an observer to catch you creeping a little at release. Just a thought.

I may have read it incorrect,but did you say you are nocked 1/8".Is that from square,every thing I have and I have a bunch, is nocked 1/2 to 5/8".Just sounds 1/8" is way low even for split finger.I think that would send your arrows tail high which might be sending them low.I only know what works for me.

Yornoc got it!! If nothing change in your set up, you should shoot at the same place as before... So, relax, take your time, get close to your target, like 5 yards or so... not that I'm an expert, far from there, but that worked for me and I read some where the same suggestion... It cost nothing to try it!!

Do you know what was your original set up? if yes, put your set up back where it was... and if you have to make changes, just make one change at the time and right it down, so you can go back if you have to!

Go back to shooting at a blank target,focus on every aspect of form.
