You hunting on Thanksgiving?
« on: November 20, 2007, 05:59:00 PM »
Right now it is 64 degrees and cloudy, Thanksgiving morning it is supposed to be 32 degrees, winds NNW and a chance of light snow! It will be the fourth day of gun season and I am hoping all the opening day/fair weather hunters sleep in 'cause I've touched up the broadheads and aired out the wool. I'm good till about 11:00 and then it's off to my mom-in-laws to eat too much. BUT when everybody else is nappin' I'll be heading back to the woods! Good luck to all who are hunting, safe travel wishes to those hitting the road and a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving to everyone here on the 'gang! God Bless-Mike

Part of Thanksgiving tradition to be hunting in the morning.  I'll be out there for sure.  This year is my son's first year that he will be going out with me.  I've tagged a few on turkey day morning over the years.  Weather should be turning good it sounds.  Good luck if your out. dino

Man I hope so.  As long as the weather cooperates, my son and I ought to be able to get out for a bit in the morning.

I agree w/u Dino it looks like the weather for turkey day morning will be GREAT.   My son and I will be out in the morning.

There is a chance for a hunt on turkey day.

Its been a great fall here at my house. Worst case
is I stay home and have a great day with my family
and look to the quiet of the late archery season.

Good luck to all, and happy Thanksgiving.

Hunting on Thanksgiving as a young kid was Traditional. Uncles, Cousins, Dad and myself.

Since I gave up gun hunting 36 yrs ago and people are no longer around, I spend the day with my family. I will be bowhunting Friday and Saturday in New Jersey. Thursday will be a day of relaxing, eating Turkey, sipping Gin and watching some football.

Good luck to all you fellas out there on Turkey Day...
