Critique my form-Videos
« on: February 21, 2012, 08:12:00 PM »
I'm fairly new to shooting tradtional, Been at it for about 2 months.  I'm actually shooting pretty good at the moment, at least I think I am.  I decided to video myself after reading and studying Terry's clock form.  I shot a compound at a 30" draw. I'm 6'1" and have long arms.  I've measured my drawlength with my recurve and come up with 28.5".  I know they can vary, but I feel like I'm not coming to full draw.  I started out with a 40# bear reecurve, and now shoot a 45# Bear recurve. Can you guys critique my form, good and bad.  Thanks.  The houses in the background are not near as close as they look.  They're about 300 yds.

Dont have a lot of time at the moment...but I can see from the rear that you are not completing the 'J' with your drawing elbow....

And I can see from the side why....your spine and neck are curved forward to make your draw length shorter.

Thanks Terry, That's what I was thinking. I just can't seem to get any more drawlength.  Maybe I'm trying to pull too much weight. I feel that when I shoot the 40# bow, I can get a little more draw.
