just finished the Asbell Shooting clinic at Black Widow!.....I am left eye dominant (now) and went into this clinic with an open mind...I was the perfect student with no bad habits, left handed. some things that really stand out in my mind:
1: There is no such thing as a "bad release"- you're not pushing and pulling at the moment of release.
2: for instinctive shooting, Keep the arrow out of eye contact during the draw. This keeps your brain from telling you that it is time to let go before you come to full draw and hit your anchor. (as I see it- TARGET PANIC!
What a great experience! I am 48 years old and just switched hands. It is working awesome. I will continue to practice this for for a couple of monthe at 5 - 10 yards til it is ingrained in my mind....Can't wait for hunting season!!! Terry
