Hello,
I have been shooting traditional tackle for a few years or so. Shooting quite regularly. I have been getting somewhat frustrated and decided to look into gap shooting.
I gave the old 3 fingers under gap style a try yesterday and had positive results. Actually, it seemed as if I was hitting my mark more consistently.
A few things bother me. Gap seems very similar to shooting with a sight. Well, I guess it is a lot like shooting with a sight. Does this become instinctive after a time???? The gap sight? What are the pro's and con's if I decided to switch? Should I tiller my Dalaa to positive?
Secondly, I like the "G. Fred" philosophy that shooting a bow is not a static or holding thing. I like that sort of snap/instinctive quality. One continuous motion. Do people shoot a hybrid style instinctive/gap style?
Sorry for all of the questions. I value your advice!
Lastly, I am left eye dominant. I cannot shoot anything but right handed. I am a musician and have a strong right hand tendencies. Is ok or frowned upon to shoot with one eye closed?
Thank you!
Mike
