Good, Bad or Ugly?
« on: September 22, 2012, 09:32:00 PM »
Lately my shot have had a left to right spread.  My arrows are tuned to the best I can get them.  Perfect no but as close to it as I can get.  So I am thinking that the spread is due to my form.  So could ya take a look for me?

I think my draw arm is too high and my release may be the culprit but I wanna see what yall think. Thanks!

krink,

Hard to see much detail due to the lighting and camera angle.  What I can see (I think):

You are leaning forward a lot.  Looks like all your weight is on your bow side foot/leg. Try to stand with equal weight on both feet. Again, this with the camera angle makes it hard to see your arm and shoulder alignments.

Your drawing arm does not look too high it is on or close to your draw force line, but again, CAMERA ANGLE!!

Your string hand looks to flip out from your face at release.  It should move back right along your jaw to finish at or behind your ear and above your shoulder.  Your hand ends up down in front of your shoulder.

In your next videos, IF you can, have some one stand facing you square on so the camera is in line (level) with your face.  And get a few shots from behind ( here if someone was standing on a chair or step ladder so they are shooting down from above and behind will help us.)

Are you willing to give up what you are; to become what you could be?

Arne,

I haven't had the chance to make a better video but I have put into action what you suggested and it made a huge difference.  My first shot was perfect and I can tell when my release is not up to par.  I thought I was ready for hunting before but now I am really ready.  Thank you  for the insight!
