Ok,
I don't even know why I am asking because all this does is mess me up BUT i need to know something.
If I close my eyes and come back to anchor WITHOUT THINKING about anchor points I naturally place my index finger in this divet in my jaw/corner of mouth and lock in with my thumb knuckle behind my jaw. Back tension feels great, alignment looks and feels good. BUT my gaps are bigger than id like. SO I have been working on middle finger in the corner of my mouth and I still get that knuckle behind my jaw, BUT it does not feel natural to me. Almost like now I have to think about it and something feels off in my alignment also, but the kicker is I shoot really good this way as I have a point on of 26 yds and all is well in that regard but is seems to be a touch distracting.
I shoot middle finger in the corner 99% of the time but you get me shooting aerial and moving targets and VIOLA back to index finger.
SO I guess what I am asking is: When you are shooting does everything feel natural to you or are there things that you actually focus on to assure proper form/alignment? I struggle with this a bit even though I shoot middle finger most of the time.
I guess I am worried is say for instance I am hunting and all of a sudden I have a shot, am I going to anchor what feels natural and then shoot high or will my training kick in and Ill go to middle finger and all is well?
