my best shooting round

(please note: I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, if it is not than let me know)  this is my best shoot round    :D  .   shot at 20 yards with a ben pearson cougar and ics beman arrows. now that you've seen mine, lets see you best shot or end    :p  .

I haven't heard of a lot of archers on here that shoot circles, I'm not saying they aren't out here, I just haven't seen a lot of it. They do have a contest on here where they shoot at paper plates and they draw the circles on the plate according to the rules they come up with. Lots of people join in for the fun and post up there scores, they usually shoot from different positions which makes it more interesting and more realistic as far as actual  hunting scenario would go.

Keep an eye open and you will see the competition when it comes up, it's usually just before the hunting season starts.

njloco: yeah, unfortunately I can only shoot paper(underage to go hunting), thought of this as a practice kind of thing.

johnny whayne: nice group   :)   , what was the yardage?

Well the first arrow was meant for the leaf, the second was meant for the leaf also but the first arrow got in the way.

I just had one the other evening, first arrow hit my spot, it was getting dark so I could see the first arrow and I figured what are the odds, so I aimed at it, and guess what, I hate when this happens !, needless to say I can't always do this, but it does happen often enough that I deliberately pick a different spot for each shot now. I shoot mostly at a distance of 15-20 yds. and do try and practice almost every day, some days you have it and some days you don't, but it's nice to be mostly on.

...I once hit a tree well over 70 yards away AND I wasn't even aiming at it... beat that!..yuk yuk...    :smileystooges:

About a twelve yard shot last August out scouting for deer sign. Got hung up shooting hedge apples in a dry riverbed and this guy comes along. Called a head shot. Maybe never again on a moving target this small for me, but definitely a staple in my archery 'career'!
