My Shooting Video
« on: May 27, 2013, 04:41:00 PM »
I've been shooting or trying to shoot instinctively. Here is a video of my buddy and I shooting 3D. Any critique will be welcome!

Neither of you hit any kind of anchor/references on your faces.  You both are also using a lot of arm muscle -- both releases have the hand flying away form the face significantly.

If you are happy with your accuracy, don't change.  If not happy you both need more/better back tension.

Mike,

Probably should post this on your own thread rather than hijack rollingrock's.

You are looking pretty good.  Big question is how does it feel for you?

My apologies rollingrock!   :knothead:

Ty Moebow, feels great! I can hold my draw much longer, no strain. I guess using the correct muscles really help. Just need to keep at it. I gained 1.5" draw from your method. Was very helpful. Im not using the arrow point for reference. Just looking at my target, really focusing.

Again my aplogies.

No worries! Sometimes it's better for everyone to pitch in from different angles.

To Moebow, actually we both 'anchor' by brushing certain spots on our cheeks when drawing. Maybe it's the angle of the camera, yes we do use our backs! I'm not that strong by pulling a 62 lbs bow with my arm only! LOL

I'm changing my notching right now thou.
