Subtle revelation
« on: July 04, 2015, 09:42:00 AM »
Well I have been doing some fine tuning at the bale working on my secondary "touch" points specifically nose to feather. Anyway I went to Rick Welch's school a few years ago and had a heck of a time making this contact and since going I have had to go back to wearing glasses(darn aging!). Well what I discovered is instead of Rick suggesting bending your drawing thumb and settling at the base of my ear I instead keep my thumb tucked in close to my hand and then nestle it in the same location(base of ear) and now have a consistent draw with contact with my fletching. Funny how little changes can make such a difference! I have gotten away with quite a bit thru the years by having a good solid bow arm but have been plagued at the face/anchor end.   :clapper:
