There are many options for a non-anticipatory psycho trigger other than a clicker, but none that do as good a job as a draw check. Plus, you like using one, which are good reasons for trying to solve this problem without changing away from a clicker.
As was mentioned above, a target archer's clicker is an option that wouldn't add any draw weight. However, being in this forum, I would imagine you want to hunt, and a target archer's clicker is not designed to use with a broadhead.
I'm surprised that it would take 1 1/2 # to click a clicker, and I wonder if you have a defective clicker or if something else is going on. I tried a clicker a while myself, and have read about people here who use them for years, and this is the first time I've heard anyone express this problem. Another more direct way to check the pull weight would be to get a scale that weighs smaller quantities, like maybe a fish scale, and attach it directly to the chain and pull the chain until it clicks. I wonder if it would give you the same answer? Or perhaps just try a different brand? Or give Joel a call. He has experimented a lot with clickers, and might have other ideas.
