Very little, no more than about the one o'clock position, unless some obstruction forces me to.

For clear shots (target, most 3d, most roving shots), 1 - 2 o'clock. Longer than 20 yards or so, more vertical.  I do take shots in the woods, sometimes, deliberately, that require more... sometimes 45 degrees to 60 degrees or so.

Close to what Sam just said. You might take a look at nhbuck's post a couple of spots down for more on this.

I try to orient myself as such (left figure, my torso angle, right figure bow angle): | /.  If I need to and my bow further, due to obstruction, I cant my torso to keep the same relative difference.  I don't twist my bow arm more or less to adjust my bow cant.

Terry, I just watched the extras segment of Master of the Barebow I.  Apparently cant can't effect you.

Thanks BWallace...

Once you get your form down...which is all above the waist..
you can do a lot of things if you put your mind and body to it.

I did a thread here on this forum called "Cant never could" addressing this....and I did a shooting segment on The Bowhunters of Trad Gang DVD....in which I impersonated Tom Mussato taking a nap and pulled off a shot.

It's a lot of fun jazz ing it up and shows just what you can do with a trad bow.

terry put it right. the cant is just whatever the shot calls for. when form is there and release is perfect you can shoot upside down inside out. of course I would recommend short distances for the upside down inside out shot.
