ok well here is the story, first of all I nedd to thank Danny Rowan again who made it all possible by helping me out in a time of need.

Well i wake up to meet my Dad to go out, but i wake up to a down pour and seconds later my phone rings and its my Dad saying dont even think about going back to bed lol. Well we get there and he tells me where he thinks they will be and he has very rarely mislead me on this. As a matter of fact he set me up on my first trad buck a month ago in the rain (it was a 10 pt i posted the story about a month ago) so i head off in the direction he told me with little hopes.

Well i get to the top a ridge and get in this old fallen oak tree that i have used before. An hour has passed and im just wet and almost annoyed my Dad dragged me out this morning but that was soon to change. I see a shiny rack about a 100 yards away walking to me, my heart rate picks up with step he takes but still doubtful he is going to come into my range but he is steady walking to me. Now im getting the shakes as he is at 40 yards and i see how wide he is, but he has chest facing me so no shot i gotta wait. He is about ten yards away now and his nose goes straight up so im thinkin great im busted! but he turns and gives my a hard angle quartering shot and i take it with out even thinking, it was a surreal moment as i watched a fletching bury right behind the shoulder. He bolts down the hill and i hear the "death crash" and i let out some kind of noise in excitment (it was a strange noise lol). I wait 20 minutes and go to the edge of the ridge and see his white belly. My dad walks up as im gutting him and just says your welcome... again lol. He is just as excited or more as I am. He is the best hunting partner i could ask for.

So heres the pics, it was raining so hard the hero pics in the woods turned out really bad because it was raining in sheets, and i didnt want to post pics of him hanging up before we start to skin and de bone him. But now i have a delihma, which one do I mount? lol

those were the pics of the one i just took and this one was the one i took in october

Great job buddy!!! Both are incredible critters!! Those ol K-Mags will sure do the trick!! I have a couple of them that I am refinishing right now.

Oh, and Danny, Scope or Listerene will work wonders on that "bait breath"   :)    Oh, I'm sorry you said "baited breath"  LOL!!!!  ;)

WOW, now that is a deer! I would mount the second one now and keep the cape and head of the first in the freezer till I could afford to mount it.The second is a much bigger and older deer, but your choice of course, either will look great on the wall.Looks like he may have been an 11 point but got broke off. I am so glad you like the bow and shoot it well. May she last you for many years to come.
