slice the backstraps pound em' roll them in flour and throw them in a skillet with a big scoop of butter fry em' for a couple minutes flip em over a fry for a few more minutes. You can add any seasoning that you like, but they melt in your mouth just the way they are and it only takes about 10 minutes.

that sounds good Terry, I'll have to try that!!

another way I have found if your way up in the mountains and can't pack much. carry a grill screen or make one that is foldable to cut down size. cut 4 branches with forks in them for legs, sharpen the bottoms and stick them in the ground to fit your grill. build a fire underneath (don't use leaves or pine needles or your meat will taste like $#!T!) carry a bottle (plastic) of your favorite marinade and spread it onto your meat and cook it on the grill. If you don't want to pack the grill you can do the same thing with sticks just like your roasting marshmallows. the important thing is your favorite marinade. My homemade (secret) marinade goes everywhere with me!!  Man I'm getting hungry!!!
