Crockpot duck
« on: September 28, 2005, 05:22:00 PM »
My favorate and easiest method of cooking duck goes something like this...gather a can of crushed pineapple, a bow of wild-long-grain-rice, butter and the duck/goose/grouse/etc...put the rice mix and pineapple with the juice) into the bottom of the crock, followed by the duck.  Add whatever amount of water and butter the rice mix called for, turn on low, baste two or three times (if you can, it'll stay moist even if you dont, but it's a bit better if you do baste) and in eight hours, you are ready to eat!  I have tried boxed stuffing mix instead of rice and it works well too.  Bon appetite!
