everyone always seems to fry it like chicken, but its a pain to drag the old cast iron out when you're hunting and camping. Try this recipe< first time I did this in camp I was laughed at until I pulled out of the fire.

Quarter the squirel up, and rub it down with a LITTLE salt
Take a piece of foil and make a boat that you can fold over and seal, place the squirel inside
Cut up a jalepeno, a tomatoe, a piece of garlic, and a little wild onion
Open a can of New Engleand clam chowder and pour it into the boat, if you have it with you add a little butter here as well
With everything in the boat seal it up, and bury it in some hot coals for about 30 minutes.
When it's good and done the meat will just about fall off the bone.

Sounds like a real good recipe, I'll have to try that. Eat mine grilled usually.
