Rabies virus is concentrated primarily in the saliva, brain, and spinal cord. Heat from thorough cooking will kill rabies virus, making properly cooked meat from game animals safe. When preparing meat for cooking, wearing rubber gloves and cleaning up with soap and water is recommended.
Survival Rule: The flesh of all birds, mammals, and reptiles is safe to eat. Edible but not necessarily palatable. (This includes Yotes)
Bone out the hams and shoulders, cut meat into 1"-2" chunks. Cut backstraps into chunks. Throw meat into crockpot. add salt, pepper, garlic, and a chopped onion. Cover mixture with beer. Cook on Hi for
6-8hrs or until meat shreds apart. Add your favorite bbq sauce, serve on buns. (You've got BBQ Yotewiches).
Or follow above recipe but leave out bbq sauce, instead add 4-5 chopped onions, more beer if needed. When meat shreds thicken with cornstarch and serve over rice. Yote with onion gravy over rice, sounds yummy!!!!!!! (everythings better with gravy!)
If you enjoy these culinary creations I've got a fantastic Thanksgiving presentation based on a beautiful buttery buzzard breast!
You just gotta get past the smell!!!!!
