Here is some more info I came across from another forum:
"One of the ways BP reduced the cost of bows, and not just entry level ones, like the Cougar was to order thinner wood than required for the risers and the laminate several together. It made a stronger riser, with sometimes spectaular contrasts and sometimes they were not even noticable, unless looked for."
Mine has 3 pieces of wood glued together for the handle and the window section is highly figured and glued near where the top of the sight window starts flat (pretty). Saw another bow on **** with just #705 so I think it was a seperate model # and noth rubbed off. Still looking....
