I'd say you did a good thing for a friend Jeff, and if it was me you had saved from the ever dangerous Ohio Tree Rat, I would have been forever grateful and would have bought YOU dinner!!  I mean think of the options, a trusted friend shoots a dangerous, man eating animal a foot from your head, or you wake up to said Tree Rat knawing your arm off........I'd say your a hero.....        :clapper:      :biglaugh:

I knew the part where he "screamed like a girl" must be true... the rest was obvious litterary lisence. Good tale.

It was a good story.  Thanks for the laugh.

The problem with text messages is we can't see the ear to ear grin that goes along with a story like this.

Jeff, you been giving screaming lessons? Last time I heard a grown man scream like a 10 year old girl you had latched onto a giant snapping turtle! Great story and great shot!  I think Bill should be grateful the skwerl showed up to get the acorn off his head before you tried the shot!

Great, great story Jeff, I really enjoyed it and caught your hint at the beginning of the post indicating a little exageration.  I truly enjoyed the story and had a great laugh.

Good shot! You may have saved his life! That squirrel may not have been intending to bite his nose; it may have been after...

That makes a foot away shot perfectly OK.

Yep- we should not overlook the danger the man was in; that was a big squirrel !!!!

That wasn't good shootin', he was aiming at poor Bill - was goin' to steal his Morrison! The squirrel simply had the misfortune of being in the genaral vicinity of Jeff's intended target!  :biglaugh:

Does that count as baiting?  Of course Jeff has no excuses for missing any of our diminutive Georgia deer.  LOL.
