Hunters' recipe database
« on: April 16, 2008, 10:38:00 AM »
Greetings all,

I have a couple cook books for game, but I always wanted an online searchable recipe database. I've tried to build one here:   http://www.hogsmack.com/recipes/

It's my personal website: no ads, no sponsors, no commercial anything. There's not much in it right now. If you have game recipes (or really any recipes) that you can contribute, I would greatly appreciate it. Please also let me know if you encounter any problems with the site. I know there's some "debug" information that appears here and there. I forgot to remove that last update. Also, if you suggestions for categories or how they should be organized, I'd like to hear it!

Thanks!
Directions: Hike, camp, hunt, fish, wash, rinse, repeat.

I added one for ya, but once I submitted it, I realized I can't spell, lol. Great idea for a website.

Good job!

Thanks for your addition, Kevin!

I'm going to try to re-work the page a little bit, so that you will have a chance to preview your recipe and go back and fix it if necessary. Also, I'm thinking about changing it so you can just cut-and-paste things in, which ought to make it easier to add recipes.

Of course, I'll be gone all weekend at a shoot, so won't have time for a while.  :)

You're welcome! I do 70% of the cooking here at the house and it's mostly stuff I grew up eating back home in West Virginia.

I'll post more up as I think about it.

This is a good idea. Would you mine if I added a couple?

Please, add away! No permission needed. The more recipes, the better! Thank you!
