Here's a recipe I came up with that turned out good.
Take 1.5 pounds of ground elk and brown in a skillet, draining off the fat. While cooking, add some chopped onion, green pepper, and garlic.
Next, add 26 oz. of your favorite spagetti sauce, 14 oz. of tomato sauce, 1 cup of sliced black olives, and 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms.
Put all this in a slow cooker while you are cooking your noodles. I find the 1 lb. box of Penne noodles work great.
When noodles are tender, drain and add to the crockpot and stir it well.
Heat on low for a hour or so and enjoy with garlic bread and red wine.
This dish should make you want to slap your grandma!
