Darn proud of this one.

This doe came into my stand area areound 7 am Sunday morning. She knew I was there and was walking straight at me (I heard her before I saw her) head bobbing looking right at me the whole way. She must have saw movement but kept coming. I stood motionless watching her. She eventually calmed down a little and started feeding At about 7-8 yards she was broadside but I had to turn a little to my right to make the shot. She busted me moving and froze staring up at me. I looked at her for about 15 seconds and sensing she was about to bolt I drew and as I did she bolted but only went about 10-15 yards and stopped. She stopped right behind a vine tangle and mess of small trees that left no shot. I stood on my toes and saw a small hole and raised my bow a little in case she stepped in. She did and broadside too. I drew and said "God help me make this shot" and released. That arrow went thru all that mess and I saw the fletching dissapear. She ran about 25-30 yards and I heard her crash. This was the best and hardest shot I ever made on a deer. I am very proud of this one. Very thankful too.

Hi Jim! Nice shot on a mature doe...probably the hardest one to take in the woods.
Looks like you've shot a few wabbits too....nice hat! You and Van should get together.
