Enough for buff?
« on: January 06, 2010, 11:39:00 PM »
Not to beat a dead horse here, but is this setup good to go for water buff?

Bow-
69#@28" Horne recurve, drawn 28 1/2", 15 strand (I think) FF string

Arrow-
AD Hammerhead @ 770gr total weight (approx, don't have a scale), 3-5" banana fletch's, cap wrap, 100gr brass insert, 100gr adapter, BH is STOS 160

I could get more weight up front with a heavier BH, but am trying to use componants I already have.

Feel free to comment!  Thanks!

Chris

It's on the light end but if you do your part and get close it will do the trick. I'd recommend changing the tip of the STOS to a chisel tip or tanto tip so they dont curl on you. If your STOS's are brand new they may have the newer tanto tip on them, older ones do not.
