Bear Brush-style cartridge rests and sight window plates...
« on: September 24, 2003, 10:12:00 PM »
Anybody know where to get them?

I've played with the idea of having some decorative plates milled from Fossil Walrus Ivory as well as some other material just for fun...maybe linen micarta or ebony.

Anybody try anything like this?

On rare occaisions I've seen one on ebay.
You could check with Joe St. Charles.

he seems to have some of the old Bear parts around. You wouldn't have to have these milled. They are not that diffcult of a shape to deal with. I would think that with a coping saw, small drill, files and sandpaper a guy could probably do a pretty nice job at creating a replacement. Many shops that make sports trophies can do laser burning in wood or plastic.
